Bronze Casting
Bronze casting began at the Raahen Valu premises in the 1980s, following the closure of the iron foundry operations that had been running since 1955.
The foundry tradition is now being carried on by the third generation, and bronze casting is performed using sand molds in two-part flasks.
Bronze casting demonstrations can be arranged for groups, while hands-on bronze casting courses are available for smaller groups.
Demonstrations and courses can also be arranged at other locations during summer, by request.
Except for Raahe-related products, items are made to order, including:
- Nameplates
- Door knockers
- House numbers
- Small memorial and grave plaques
- Custom-made small items made from customer’s models
