Responsibility
Raahen Taitopaja is committed to operating responsibly and promoting sustainable development in all its activities while preserving local cultural heritage and strengthening community well-being. In our operations, we take environmental, community, and cultural heritage values into account, which is reflected in our everyday choices and practices.
We want to preserve, strengthen, and promote the transfer of cultural values to future generations. We showcase both local and broader cultural heritage, such as foundry and himmeli traditions. This valuable cultural history is visible in our work, services, and products.
Our work is carried out through small but meaningful choices, such as using recycled materials in bronze casting and reusing materials in ceramic and glasswork.
Our premises are open to everyone and fully accessible, with the exception of the restroom facilities.
Our environmental responsibility is reflected in our energy-efficient operations and our choice of eco-friendly packaging materials, such as replacing plastic packaging with cardboard options.
We strengthen community involvement by offering services to both companies and private individuals, collaborating with local organizations, and actively participating in regional events, training sessions, and workshops. Our inclusive and open atmosphere warmly welcomes everyone, regardless of age, religion, minority status, nationality, or sexual and gender identity (LGBTQ+).
Our premises, dating back to 1955 and partially preserved in their original form, are part of this valuable cultural history and symbolize our commitment to preserving traditions.
Proving our commitment to eco-friendly tourism, Raahen Taitopaja holds both Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) and Good Travel Seal (GTS) certifications.
